Changing Your Password on RTC

Introduction

In order to change your password on RTC, follow the instructions below.

Changing Passwords

Login to rtc.rice.edu and execute load the pwdutils module and then execute the passwd command. When prompted, enter your old login password followed by your new password.


rtcuser@rtchost:~> module load pwdutils
rtcuser@rtchost:~> passwd
Changing password for rtcuser.
Enter login(LDAP) password: 
New password: 
Re-enter new password: 
LDAP password information changed for rtcuser
