We will be taking the RTC offline for maintenance on Wednesday March 12th at 8AM. The estimated outage window is 72Hrs. The main purpose of this outage is to upgrade the PVFS shared.scratch filesystem. We will increase its capacity from 1TB to 5TB as well as increase the aggregated I/O bandwidth to 1GB/sec. Routine operating system updates will also take place such as updating the entire cluster to the latest patch level for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4. The longer queues will start draining this afternoon to allow a safe shutdown on the above mentioned date. Please plan you work accordingly.
